Machining and grinding fluid used diluted 2- 5% in water.
"machining & grinding coolant lubricant"
May cause SENSITIZATION by skin contact.
Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed.
Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin.
Accidental ingestion of the material may be harmful; animal experiments indicate that ingestion of less than 150 gram may be fatal or may produce serious damage to the health of the individual. Ingestion may result in nausea, pain, vomiting. Vomit entering the lungs by aspiration may cause potentially lethal chemical pneumonitis. Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments.
This material can cause eye irritation and damage in some persons.
Skin contact with the material may be harmful; systemic effects may resultfollowing absorption. This material can cause inflammation of the skin oncontact in some persons. Toxic effects may result from skin absorption.
If inhaled, this material can irritate the throat andlungs of some persons. Inhalation of vapor is more likely at higher than normal temperatures. Inhalation hazard is increased at higher temperatures.
Skin contact with the material is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.
Principal routes of exposure are usually by skin contact and inhalation of vapor/spray mist. Skin exposure to concentrate may give rise to reactions in individuals with a history of dermatitis or pre-existing skin disorders and all exposure should be controlled by good occupational hygiene. Soiled clothing should not be allowed to remain in contact with skin. Machining processes that tend to generate cutting fluid mist should be controlled to prevent buildup. Prolonged or repeated exposure to lubricants should be avoided in order to lessen the possibility of skin disorders.
