Rust stain remover.
"Alpha X - Fe stain remover"
Causes burns.
Risk of serious damage to eyes.
Harmful in contact with skin and if swallowed.
Accidental ingestion of the material may be harmful; animal experiments indicate that ingestion of less than 150 gram may be fatal or may produce serious damage to the health of the individual. The material can produce chemical burns within the oral cavity and gastrointestinal tract following ingestion. Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments. Ingestion may result in nausea, abdominal irritation, pain and vomiting. Ingestion of low-molecular organic acid solutions may produce spontaneous hemorrhaging, production of blood clots, gastrointestinal damage and narrowing of the esophagus and stomach entry.
The material can produce chemical burns to the eye following direct contact. Vapors or mists may be extremely irritating. If applied to the eyes, this material causes severe eye damage. Solutions of low-molecular weight organic acids cause pain and injuryto the eyes.
Skin contact with the material may be harmful; systemic effects may resultfollowing absorption. The material can produce chemical burns following direct contactwith the skin. Irritating to skin. Open cuts, abraded or irritated skin should not be exposed to this material. The material may accentuate any pre-existing dermatitis condition.
If inhaled, this material can irritate the throat andlungs of some persons. Not normally a hazard due to non-volatile nature of product.
Primary route of exposure is usually by skin contact/eye contact with the material. Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause drying with cracking, irritation and possible dermatitis following. As with any chemical product, contact with unprotected bare skin; inhalation of vapor, mist or dust in work place atmosphere; or ingestion in any form, should be avoided by observing good occupational work practice.
