Antibacterial tablet. One tablet is dissolved in 500ml of water for bathing cuts and
grazes. One tablet dissolved in 2 litres of cold water may be used as hard surface
bactericide and to sterilise babies bottles and teats.

Contact with combustible material may cause fire.
Contact with water liberates toxic gas.
Contact with acids liberates toxic gas.

Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed.
Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin.
Very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long- term adverse effects in the
aquatic environment.
Accidental ingestion of the material may be harmful; animal experiments indicate that ingestion of less than 150 gram may be fatal or may produce serious damage to the health of the individual. Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments. Ingestion may result in nausea, abdominal irritation, pain and vomiting.
This material can cause eye irritation and damage in some persons. Not considered an irritant through normal use. The material may produce moderate eye irritation leading to inflammation. Repeated or prolonged exposure to irritants may produce conjunctivitis.
This material can cause inflammation of the skin oncontact in some persons. if exposure is prolonged. The material may cause severe skin irritation after prolonged or repeated exposure and may produce on contact skin redness, swelling, the production of vesicles, scaling and thickening of the skin. Repeated exposures may produce severe ulceration.
If inhaled, this material can irritate the throat andlungs of some persons. Not normally a hazard due to non-volatile nature of product. Not considered an irritant through normal use.
Principal route of exposure is usually by skin contact. Chlorine evolved from decomposition when wet is a respiratory irritant, corrosive and toxic. In enclosed areas inhalation of vapour may cause upper respiratory tract irritation, shortness of breath, violent headaches, pulmonary oedema and pneumonia. Effects may be delayed. In-use diluted solution is non-toxic.
