Considered an unlikely route of entry in commercial/industrial environments.
The dust may produce eye discomfort causing smarting, pain and redness. The material may produce moderate eye irritation leading to inflammation. Repeated or prolonged exposure to irritants may produce conjunctivitis.
Principal routes of exposure are by accidental skin and eye contact andinhalation of generated dusts. Some azo dyes may be able to cause mutations and be associated with thedevelopment of bladder cancer. Occupational exposure to reactive dyes may result in irritation of the respiratory tract, when inhaled in the dust form.
