RISK

Harmful by inhalation.
May cause SENSITIZATION by inhalation and skin contact.
Harmful: danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure through
inhalation.

Risk of explosion if heated under confinement.

POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS

ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS

SWALLOWED

  Although ingestion is not thought to produce harmful effects, the material may still be damaging to the health of the individual following ingestion, especially where pre-  existing organ (e.g. liver, kidney) damage is evident. Present definitions of harmful or toxic substances are generally based on doses producing mortality (death) rather than those producing morbidity (disease, ill-health). Gastrointestinal tract discomfort may produce nausea and vomiting. In an occupational setting however, ingestion of insignificant quantities is not thought to be cause for concern.  

EYE

  This material can cause eye irritation and damage in some persons.  The material may be irritating to the eye, with prolonged contact causing inflammation. Repeated or prolonged exposure to irritants may produce conjunctivitis.  

SKIN

  This material can cause inflammation of the skin oncontact in some persons.  Skin contact is not thought to have harmful health effects, however the material may still produce health damage following entry through wounds, lesions or abrasions.  

INHALED

  If inhaled, this material can irritate the throat andlungs of some persons.  

CHRONIC HEALTH EFFECTS

  Inhaling this product is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.  Skin contact with the material is more likely to cause a sensitization reaction in some persons compared to the general population.  

  Principal routes of exposure are usually by inhalation and skin  contact. Skin contact may cause defatting and drying of the skin.  CAUTION:  The product contains low levels of organic isocyanates which on  exposure may cause skin and/or respiratory sensitisation in some individuals.  The presence of aerosol/mist is particularly hazardous. The level of  isocyanate falls over time upon exposure to moisture until the full cured  sealer is non-hazardous. Prolonged, repeated or excessive exposure by  inhalation or skin may cause sensitisation and allergic reactions leading to  bronchial spasm, asthma or dermatitis.  CAUTION:  This product contains MDI/PMPPI.  Use good occupational hygiene practices to limit all personal contact.  WARNING:  Intentional misuse by concentrating and inhaling contents may be  fatal.  WARNING:  Aerosol containers may present additional hazards related to     pressure effects.  [ADG Code]
